2D Vectors
You walk 3 m towards the bowler’s end, then 4 m towards square leg. Your net displacement is not “7 m somewhere” — it is the diagonal of a 3–4–5 triangle, about 5 m. That diagonal is a vector sum. Robot links and mobile bases do the same: displacements add as vectors.
