Matrices
A paint shop recipe might say: newred = 0.8·red + 0.1·green; newgreen = 0.2·red + 0.7·green. That table of coefficients is a matrix. Robot rotations and camera calibrations are the same idea: multiply a vector by a table of numbers to get a new vector.
